Seeing a Doctor
Referral to the Hunter Cancer Centre for consultation or treatment under the care of one of our Specialists may be from your GP or from another Specialist. You will then be able to make your appointment.
For most patients, your first appointment will be at an outpatient department/clinic or a doctor's private rooms.
At the clinics, you may meet a range of health care professionals, including medical specialists and nurses.
People with cancer may receive treatment from a number of different health professionals. At Hunter Cancer Centre we will provide coordinated and multidisciplinary care.
Patients should bring their referral and wherever possible, hard copies of any diagnostic imaging to their first appointment.
